Reagan Running Club
What is it?
By participating in the Running Club, you will learn how to stretch properly, running technique, how to pace yourself, and may eventually build your stamina to be able to run a 5k!
Mr. Riccardella will sponsor and lead the club, and join students on runs.
We will meet right after school in the gym on the following dates:
11/21, 11/25, 12/9, 12/16, 12/18, 1/9
Tentative Practice Schedule:
3:15 - Begin each practice with a stretch, maybe even a short "yoga for runners" video
3:30 - Head outside for a warmup on the track
3:45 - Run 1-2 miles to start, working toward a 5k (3.1 miles) by the end of the 6th meeting
4:15 - Cool down walk and stretch by the track
4:30 - Return inside to wait for pick up/activity bus
5:00 – Parent pick up/Activity Bus
What you need:
Running sneakers, warm athletic clothes, a water bottle, and a great attitude!
