After School Tutoring
Welcome to After-School Tutoring!
Sign-up links are posted each Friday for the following week in Student Commons. If you do not have access to Student Commons, please reach out to Mr. Piette. Tutoring is an "attend-as-needed" program, so students will need to sign up each week for the individual days that they plan to attend. Some students attend to receive help on a specific unit, while others are "regulars" and attend every week.
At tutoring, we do not provide additional lesson plans for students. Instead, we ask students to arrive with assignments from their existing coursework that they need help with, OR with a specific unit in mind that they are struggling to grasp. For example, "I'm having a hard time understanding figurative language. Can you help explain this to me in a different way?"
By signing up for tutoring, students (and parents!) agree to all of the following:
- I understand that my participation is voluntary, and I am not required to attend.
- I acknowledge that the After-School Tutoring Program is intended for students who have specific questions related to an assignment(s), need help understanding a specific skill/ concept/ unit of study, or who need a quiet space to work independently.
- I am aware that the After-School Tutoring environment is a safe space for asking questions and learning new skills and information. I agree that my conduct will not disrupt the learning environment expected by the tutoring teachers, and that I will follow all behavior expectations as outlined in the Reagan Student Handbook and the PWCS Code of Behavior. If my conduct does not meet these expectations, I am aware that I may face disciplinary actions including being asked to call for an early ride home, being asked not to return for After-School Tutoring in the future, and/or further actions (like referrals).
- I understand that spaces are limited for tutoring. If I am unable to stay for my scheduled tutoring session, I should delete my sign up or email Mrs. Phillips ([email protected]) and Ms. Enger ([email protected]). I understand that if I do not show up for my scheduled tutoring session repeatedly, I will not be able to sign up in the future.
- I have confirmed my activity bus number, OR I have confirmed that my car ride will pick me up by 4:45 PM.

Afterschool tutoring takes place Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays after school from 3:00pm to 4:45pm. Students should sign up in advance through Student Commons and meet after school outside the library to check in. Activity busses are available!
