Dear Ronald Reagan community,

Here are the highlights from this week at RRMS!

Yearbooks

Online yearbook sales are closed for the year. We will be distributing yearbooks during school on June 4th and 5th. There will be a limited supply of extras available on those days on a first come, first served basis. These yearbooks will be $60 and can be paid for by cash or check only.

NJHS Membership 2026-27

All current eligible 7th grade students and their parents should have received an email on May 1 explaining the process for applying to NJHS for the 2026-2027 school year. The email will explain how to apply for membership, how to earn service hours, and other details. If you have any questions, please see the RRMS website or email Ms. Schilling, who will be the main advisor for NJHS for the 2026-2027 school year.

From the Nurse

All medications must be picked up by a parent/guardian from the school clinic by 3:00PM on Thursday, June 11. Medications not picked up will be discarded. No medications are held in the school clinics over the summer. New Medication Administration Forms and/or Health Treatment Plans are required for each school year. Forms may be obtained from your school or the Student Health Services Website. Please contact Ms. Deem with any questions.

Social Probation

As we move into May and June, we will have many opportunities for our students to celebrate their successes. Please note, students who earn discipline referrals may be placed on Social Probation and will therefore not be able to participate in these celebrations.

Spring SOL Testing Schedule

Reagan’s Testing Schedule is below:

Expedited Retakes (as needed) - Tuesday, May 26 – June 5

School Dress Code Reminder

Please help us by checking your student to ensure he or she is dressed appropriately for school. Please note, Nike Pro
spandex shorts (or those that are similar) are not appropriate for school and should not be worn. The RRMS dress code can be found in the Student Handbook, located in the Student Commons Canvas page.

Information for 8th Grade Parents

Mustang Mall Day

Mustang Mall Day will be held on June 1, 2026, from 10:00-12:30 in the RRMS bus loop. This is a great experience for
every 8th grade student, and we would love to have parents pop in to share the experience. Please join us to see the amazing small businesses that the 8th grade students have created. Make sure to sign into the front office before visiting Mustang Mall.

8th Grade Awards Night

On June 2, at 7:00pm, we will honor our 8th grade Academic, Athletics, and Activities award winners. This event is only for 8th graders who are receiving an award; those students will get an invitation in their Advisory period and their parents will receive an invitation by email.

Lawn Signs for June 8-12

One of the best traditions at RRMS is the 8th grade yard signs. Parents make signs for their 8th grade students and place them in the front lawn of the school during the last week. This year, parents may place yard signs at the school beginning on Sunday, June 7 and may collect them on Saturday June 13. All signs that are left out over the weekend will be collected and discarded on Monday morning.

8th Grade Celebration - Save the Date

We will hold our 8th grade celebration on Thursday, June 11 during the school day. This is a fun event for our 8th grade students but isn’t possible without significant parent support. Please make plans to volunteer to help us with this fun event. We will send out a sign-up form in the coming weeks!

8th Grade Financial Obligations

As we look forward to celebrating the end of a successful school year, we’re excited to offer a variety of end-of-year activities for our 8th grade students. To participate in these events, students must have all outstanding school balances
resolved, including device-related fees. We kindly ask that any remaining balances be paid by June 1 to ensure your child is able to take part in these celebrations. You can see any balances owed using this Quick Pay link. If you have questions about your student’s account or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We understand that circumstances can vary, and we are committed to working with families to find solutions.

  • June 1 – Mustang Mall (all students)
  • June 2 – NJHS Induction Ceremony (invite only) from 5:30-6:30pm
  • June 2 – 8th grade award ceremony (invite only) from 7:00-8:00pm

RRMS Technology Replacement and Insurance

Each student has been given an iPad, case, charging block, charging cord, and headphones to start the school year. Please remember that these devices and accessories are the property of PWCS and need to be treated with care. Replacement iPad accessories can be provided to students who have lost or damaged them during the school year. To obtain a replacement accessory, students should go to their Student Quick Pay accounts and look for the “Replacement iPad Accessories” button or bring cash (exact change please) or check (payable to Reagan Middle School) to the front office. The student then needs to bring their dated proof of payment to the front office where they can pick up their replacement item. Reagan Middle School has the following accessories available for replacement:

  • Charging cord $10.00
  • Headphones $10.00
  • Adapter $10.00
  • Charging block $15.00
  • iPad case $100.00

Please note: Only school-approved accessories may be used to ensure device compatibility and to maintain a safe environment. If you wish to purchase optional third-party insurance for your student's device and accessories, you can find more information here.

Front Office Reminders

To report an absence: Please submit any absences on the day of the absence or up to 30 days in the future using the Report Absence button in ParentVUE. If the absence has already passed, please email our attendance mailbox at [email protected]. Please include your student's full name, the date(s) of the absence, and the reason for the absence. We cannot accept attendance over the phone.

For late arrivals: You do not need to come into the building when dropping off your student. We will have them sign in
and then we will update their attendance and send them to class with a pass.

For early dismissal: You must come into the building to pick up your student. Please have a picture ID available and check your student out using our iPads. We CANNOT check students out between 2:30 PM and our regular dismissal
time at 3:00 PM. Please plan to be here no later than 2:30 PM.

To drop off items/lunches at school: Please let your student know that the item has been dropped off by sending them an email. They do not have phone access during the day, but they can check email. The front office cannot always notify
students that they have items or lunches in the front office in a timely manner.

After-School Tutoring

Our after-school tutoring program will be back this year and better than ever! After-school tutoring runs every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00-4:45pm (beginning Tuesday, September 2). Activity busses are available for those in need of transportation. Students must sign up in advance through the Student Commons Canvas page.

PTSO Information

Businesses - PTSO is conducting the banner fundraiser again this year. If you have a business and would like to display a banner during the next school year, please read this document for more information. You can download the agreement here.

Morning Drop Off Procedures

In order to help alleviate some of the traffic backup we typically experience in the morning, we ask that you follow the instructions below for drop off and use the photo as a reference.

  • Please enter the parking lot as directed by security at the intersection and pull forward to fill up all available space along the curb. This enables more cars to enter the parking lot and reduces the car line and amount of time it takes students to enter the building.
  • Please do NOT allow students to exit cars until the car has proceeded past the first crosswalk. There are orange
barriers in place to prevent this. Please follow the direction of staff working to keep everyone safe.
  • All car riders, walkers, and bike riders will enter the building at the back of the building (Door 6) and go through the Evolv system. Bus riders will enter through Door 1 and go through Evolv.
  • Students may begin entering the building at 7:45am and head to the cafeteria to eat breakfast or wait in the gym. At 8:00am students may leave the cafeteria/gym and proceed to class/lockers.
