Dear Ronald Reagan community,
There are a lot of great things happening at our school this week:
Recent Notable Achievements
This week, several of our students made notable achievements:
- Our Cheer Team earned third place at Patriot High School in the Shamrock Spirit Competition.
- Our 8th grade Orchestra received straight Superior Ratings at their assessment.
- Our JV Girls Basketball team won the District with an 8-2 record.
- We had 3 wrestlers, Connor Burrell, Sebastian Peters, and Connor Kamprowski, win first place in the Western Region Tournament on Saturday.
School Dress Code Reminder
Spring has sprung, and we are experiencing warmer weather. While we want students to be comfortable, we need to stay within the dress code guidelines. Please help us and remind your students of the dress code (which can be found in the Student Handbook, located in the Student Commons Canvas page).
Main Office Reminder
Friendly reminder: We do not accept Door Dash or any other deliveries for students. If you are bringing your student lunch, we ask that you email your student to let them know you are doing so. They can stop by the office on their way to the cafeteria to pick it up.
Spring Sports
Spring Sports (Softball, Baseball, Girls Soccer, Boys Track) tryouts are Monday, March 18 - 20. Both a Sports Physical and Concussion Training documentation are due by Friday, March 15, to be eligible for tryouts on Monday, March 18th. See our website for more information about each. They can be turned into the main office or directly to Mr. Riccardella (room 1300).
Yearbooks
We have great news, RRMS Families! Additional copies of the 2023-2024 yearbook have become available! To keep the ordering process as fair as possible, we will be building a waitlist. To get a spot on this waitlist, please complete this form. There is a limited number of additional copies, so please register as soon as you can to ensure you have a spot at the top of the waitlist!
Mustang Mornings
Episode 17 of Mustang Mornings can be viewed here!
Mustang Advisory Council - March 20
We will hold our next Mustang Advisory Council meeting on March 20, at 6:30 via Zoom. We will discuss next year's budget and staffing as well as updates about Counseling, Athletics, and the PTSO.
Morning Tardiness
Recently the number of students who are tardy to school in the morning has escalated. Please remember that we open our doors at 7:45am and the tardy bell rings at 8:15am. Students who are not in their classrooms at 8:15am (unless they ride a bus that arrived late) will be marked tardy by the teacher. When a student accrues too many tardies, they will have to stay after school to do a reflection workshop with Mr. Thousand.
School Lunch Debt Update
Please check your student’s My School Bucks account here. Additionally, if you would like to donate to the school to help offset some of the lunch debt at the end of the year, please visit this page for information.
Student Computers
There has been an uptick in laptops that have an abundance of stickers and aluminum foil pressed onto the cases as well as having their county asset and serial tags ripped off. Please have your student remove any stickers and remind them that the laptops are school property and should be kept in good condition. The county asset stickers should remain in tact in order for the school to keep track of inventory.
PTSO Updates
- The PTSO is sponsoring the annual yard signs for our 8th graders. If you would like to purchase a personalized sign for your student, the link here is now live. The store will remain open until the last week in April. Signs will be delivered to school in early May. Dates for pick up will be arranged as it gets closer. The cost is $20.
- Save the date! May 10 is the date for the 8th grade dance!
Rising 7th Grade Immunization Information
The deadline for students to meet the immunization requirement for mandatory immunizations for public school enrollment is Thursday, August 15, 2024. Tdap and Meningococcal vaccines are required for risting 7th graders. If you have questions, please contact our school nurse, Ms. Deem, or visit the immunization requirements webpage. Thank you for your assistance.

Front Office Cut-Off Time – 2:30 p.m.
The front office is especially busy at the end of the day. Our front office secretaries are trying to coordinate with Transportation, compile last-minute announcements, and help students with various requests. We cannot accommodate requests for student pickups after 2:30 p.m. Please help us by coming to pick up your child before 2:30 p.m.
