The Independent Study program at Ronald Reagan Middle School is designed to provide an opportunity for students to stay on a productive path to academic success. Independent Study allows students time to do homework, visit their teachers to retake tests or receive extra help, complete make-up work, and use the Library and technology for research. There will also be time for students to attend seminars, engage in group activities and work on center-based activities.
Bring the following EACH class:
1. Homework and study material for ALL classes
2. A book to read when finished with homework
3. Agenda (with pass card)
Have you written your S.M.A.R.T. goal for this week?
S = Specific
M = Measurable
A = Attainable
R = Realistic
T = Timely
Successful people maintain a positive focus in life no matter what is going on around them. They stay focused on their past successes rather than their past failures, and on the next action steps they need to take to get them closer to the fulfillment of their goals rather than all the other distractions that life presents to them.
- Jack Canfield
In the words of Mr. Magorium: "[37 seconds. We wait.] No. We breathe. We pulse. We regenerate. Our hearts beat. Our minds create. Our souls ingest. 37 seconds, well used, is a lifetime."
