My Dear Mustangs,

For this week, I am only posting a few review activities for you to complete in Quizizz. There are no specific videos for you to watch, but if you get stuck, check out the videos from previous lessons on topics we have already covered. This is your last activity for the school year!

I will send a link to the final Zoom session that you can join if you have any questions or just want to say hello!

I'm so proud of you all for trying your hardest and tackling virtual learning head on! I know this is not the year we all imagined, but we made the most of a unique situation. I look forward to the time that I see you all walking the halls of Reagan as 8th graders and know you will be successful in everything you pursue. Just remember to work hard, stay on top of your responsibilities, and always, always, always BE KIND!

Congrats on finishing 7th grade and I wish you all the best luck next year. Enjoy your summer break and stay in touch!!

All the best,
Mrs. Mills :)

Hello Dear Mustangs,

Can you believe it is June? It is strange to think it has been 11 weeks since we have last seen each other.
I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy. I miss seeing all of you very much!

We are down to only two more lessons for the school year. For this week, there is no recorded lesson from me.  Instead, I have included a few links for you to follow in the order presented under Files and Documents,
Virtual Learning, and "Week of 6/2/2020".  They include two short YouTube videos, two games, an IXL activity on Comparing and Ordering Numbers, and a Quizizz on the same topic.  The Quizizz code is 1713258. Don’t forget to use your Desmos calculator to help you convert your values to decimals.

Please attempt these activities with your best effort, however, if you have any questions or need help, please email me and let me know.
I will also send a link to an optional Zoom meeting on 6/2/2020 at 12:00 in case you have any questions or need some clarification.

Best of luck and please take care of each other! <3

I hope you are all doing well and in good spirits! I miss seeing you everyday! Hopefully, you are adjusting to your new routine and school schedule.

Week 2 of our Virtual Schoolhouse math lessons will continue tomorrow, Tuesday, the 21st. Please follow the links in the "Virtual Learning" folder under my Files and Documents tab. You will watch the videos and complete the activities in the folder for "4/21/2020" in the order presented. The first video gives instructions for completing the games and practice activities for each topic. It does have a typo on the first slide that should say, "Tuesday, April 21st".

There are

-Fractions (basic overview)
-Reducing Fractions
-Mixed Numbers and Improper Fractions

*These activities are not for a grade.

I encourage you to continue practicing your multiplication and division facts, too. Here are links to the Quizlet flashcards to help you practice:

Division Flashcards

As always, please let me know if you have any questions or if you need help with any of the activities.

Take care and be well Mustangs!

Hello Mustangs,

This week after Spring Break, we will begin our new schedule of virtual learning.
New Math lessons will be posted weekly on my class page under Virtual Learning every Monday night.
We will be focusing on reviewing previously taught concepts and building up our mastery of skills that will be important for 8th grade math.

In addition to these weekly lessons, I have also included a link to the PWCS Home Learning page that has information about useful resources.

Let me know if you have any questions. I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their Spring Break and is staying healthy!

All the best,
Mrs. Mills :)

To my Mustangs and Parents,

I hope everyone is taking care of themselves and finding time to rest, relax, and spend time with family. I miss seeing you all, already. :)

When it is time for us to start our learning activities again, please visit the "Virtual Learning" folder under Files and Documents to see Days 1 - 10 of your daily math assignments.

Each day there will be a Review practice of things we have learned so far this year. They are short, 5 question reviews. In a separate folder under "Virtual Learning" there will be an Answer Key folder to help you know how you are doing with the reviews. You don't need to print these reviews. You can just complete them on a piece of lined paper.

Each day will also have a skill we are practicing. If notes are posted, read through them and use them to help you.

Don't forget to use the Desmos Scientific calculator when you're working.
https://www.desmos.com/scientific

Please email me if you have any questions! I will be checking my email often and posting updates when needed.

All the best,
Mrs. Mills

This school year marks my 10th year as a special educator. I taught for four years in Culpeper County and have spent the last five years here at Reagan.
This year I am teaching both a small group class for 7th grade Math and providing support in the general education Math, Science, and Language Arts classes.
I look forward to working with every single one of my students to meet their individual needs to be successful this year, and beyond!
I am a huge believer in the power of collaboration and hope to do just that with each student, colleague, and parent this school year. Every task is easier to accomplish as a team!
