Course Description:

This course will examine the roles citizens play in the political, governmental, and economics systems of the United States. Students will study the U.S. Constitution and other founding documents. They will identify rights, duties, and responsibilities of U.S. citizens, and will comprehend the structure and operation of government at the local, state and national levels.  Students will investigate the process by which decisions are made in the American market economy and explain the government’s role in it.

Pen (black or blue ink), Civics Binder (3 ring binder with at least 10 tabbed dividers to mark the course units), Extra blank loose leaf paper, 3x5 Index Cards, and Agenda.
