Course Description

This course emphasizes the fundamental language skills of reading, writing, speaking,listening, thinking, viewing, and presenting. This course includes studies of various literary genres: short story, poetry, novel, non-fiction, and research. Additionally, students will participate in word study to enhance their vocabulary and etymology skills. Composition will be an on-going part of this course, and students will hone the persuasive, narrative, and expository writing styles.
